Bronze Age find declared treasure

A BRONZE Age hoard found under a County Durham field was officially declared treasure yesterday, and could now find a home in a museum.

The three amber beads, two bronze rings, one bugle-shaped fitting and one spearhead fragment, thought to be up to 3,000 years old, were given the official status in an inquest held at Chester-le-Street Magistrates' Court yesterday.
